Hey Everyone,
Thought I’d drop by and tell my story and see how it compares to others’ journeys. My little one (currently 3 months) has been fussy from day one. She cries often, is fussy, and will often scream-cry at the top of her lungs late into the night. But she also has many moments of calm and cuteness. At this point, every night is an adventure to put it nicely. Some rare nights, she goes down and will sleep 4 hour stretches. Other nights 1-2 hour stretches, which is mostly the case. And then there are nights like last night where she is up crying and screaming from 11pm-3am when I finally get her down by bouncing her on a ball because she’s refusing mom’s boob and any other type of soothing. Obviously, nights like this are exhausting and drive us near our breaking point.
It sucks because other people post about their babies who are the same age sleeping through the night, easy-going, and able to be put down “drowsy but awake” without freaking out crying. They talk about how they have trained their babies to sleep with these books and methods. Makes me so irritated because our situation just isn’t the same. I wouldn’t say our baby is over the top colicky, but definitely is not an easy baby by any means. She still requires mom’s boob or bouncing/rocking to be put to sleep all times of the day, otherwise she can’t sleep. This then turns into her becoming further fussy due to being overtired, and it just becomes this vicious cycle.
Anyway, I’m just curious if what our experience is like is true colic, just a fussy temperamental baby, or something else altogether. Wondering how our situation and sentiment compares to other parents out there.

I have a 3 month old doing the exact same thing. I was just wondering if you have found any comfort in the last couple of months ??
