Does anyone know if teething causes extra throw up... we are on reflux meds and it has pretty much been controlling our barf up until now... now its runny and gross.... i just wonder if its realated to teething?

You know, that's a good question. Abby, like I have said before, was on reflux meds but they never really helped her. She got over the throwing up thing for the most part, then started doing it again at the first part of November and it has progressively gotten worse. Sometimes she will throw up 2-3 hours after eating. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. Thick or thin, you never know. If you find out, let me know. Now I'm curious...

I think that i am going to go and ask the dr this week when i check to make sure his ear infection is gone*****yuchy description***** its like a whole lot of spit mixed in with a little bit of formula and it goes on all day..... very wierd

that's exactly what Abby does. sometimes it can be clear, other times you definitely know what she ate for dinner. gross, especially when it goes down your back...  |

my dr cant figure out the clear barf, however now i think its more spit than stomach acid before it was defn stomach acid bc he would scream when it happend... and i got it in my hair today not to mention down my chest 4 times.... nothing worse than slimy boobs

Garren is doing the same thing!!!! Today has been exceptionally bad. He spits up pretty regularly, but today has been with everything he's eaten....even solids! I hate having to change him over and over again!! Too much laundry!

Audrey,
I wonder if he has a stomach bug. We had it for a couple days during the week of Thanksgiving. David basically threw up everything for 8 hours or so (and so did we). It seems to be going around. Two other babies we know had the same thing. Be really careful, because they can get dehydrated really easy. One of our friend's had to bring in both his 6 month old and 2 year old to the hospital for IV's because they got it so bad. (Interestingly, their doctor thought it was rotavirus. But David had the same symptoms -- though not as bad-- and he had a rotavirus vaccine.)
Try giving small amounts of liquids very frequently.

Brooklyn hasnt ever had a spitting up problem ...
She did have a stomach bug a week and a half ago. She was projectile vommiting. It was so gross.

Abby does the same thing. She will even throw up solids. It's very frustrating. I feel like I feed her for nothing! It's just gonna come back up...

Jenn, I don't think it's a stomach bug because it doesn't seem like enough "stuff" to be vomit. He's just really "spitting up" a lot. Today has been a little better. I will continue to watch him though. Thanks for the advice!!!!  Audrey;) |

im glad Brookie doesnt throw up like that....she'd be throwing up a WHOLE LOT. That kid LOVES to eat!!! lol

I know that's right. Today Abby ate half a bag of Ranch chips, you know, the little bags. She LOVED them. I open one and was eating them and gave her a taste and she just started eating them like crazy!! I swear that child will eat anything you put in her mouth. And now she has started "talking". She is very opinionated. Telling us, not even crying, what she thinks about things. It is too cute to hear her "real" voice!! |
