Ours just ended approx. 2 weeks ago. Just before 3 months (weeks 12/13). Hang in there. Hopefully, you are almost done! It is not very common for it to last longer than 3-4 months.
Personally, I say if you go past the 4 month mark with colic, you should take your baby back to the doctor to be re-evaluated to make sure nothing else is wrong medically.

We are at week 10. We tried nutramigen so we know it's not allergies and zantac didn't work either. His colic is mainly the whole day with some relief at night. Here's to hoping it ends soon!!!

I think its ending... fingers crossed 11.5 weeks. Hes way better during the day, crying more when hes sleepy or been doing something for too long, other then that he has been "chillen" for the first time this week, also my first week back to work. I was terrified the daycare would call and say we cant handle him ( family friend) says he rarely cries.. WTF? Then at night im noticing less fighting to sleep and more quiet awake time. I think its because he is moving more, hes always wanted to do more then he could since birth, like he is mad hes not grown.

Still going strong at 4 1/2 months took the little gal back to the doctor and she told me we will wait up till 6 months to start any test....she also is on zantac and nutramagin. I take it day by day and have a baby room with a door on it lol...great advice I got from a stranger. "The days are long but the years are short"

We were on nutramigen and zantac as well but I didn't notice a difference so I didn't see a point in medicating and buying expensive formula. What are your little ones symptoms?

She is very sensitive to stimulation and is fussy,. About everyother day she crys and there is nothing I can do that comforts her. It last about three hours and she wont make eye contact. The cry is different than her normal cry I can tell from the beggining that it is a colic episode. There is no certain time can be morning or night. She has done this since 4 weeks though it less now than it was. She has reflux. And before the zantac and nutramagen would vomit most of her bottles. I had trouble for the first 6 weeks with the crying but now I have learned how to cope with it along with the rest of my family. Just pray that it is soon at an end!!! The worst is afterward her voice goes hoarse or she loses it, I hate that!! How long did ur little one have it?

for us the colic ended around 3 months...well got significantly better and then really ended about 5-6 months. He is now 8 months old and probably the happiest baby I have ever met in my entire life. Like all day today, he was crawling around the house, smiling from ear to ear and giggling all day long...its like where was the baby months ago I used to have?? As much as I miss some of those precious newborn moments and will always look back on his 1-3 month photos with love in my heart, I don't miss those days at all. I can never forget the complete torture and awful days of just pacing the house nonstop and crying with him for hours on end, or singing and rocking him for hours only for him to scream louder in my ears. NOTHING calmed him down sometimes when he was small. Now, I look at him and he laughs and smiles all the time. Its just absolutely 360 change. I cant even believe hes the same baby sometimes. It is truly a miracle that his colic is gone now. When it ends, the gates of heaven open up.

Ours lasted about 7-8 months. I'm referring specifically to the extreme screaming for long periods. It kind gradually tapered off beginning at the 7 month mark. He was on Elecare prescription formula and we kept him on that until he was over a year old, fearing the screaming would return if we took him off of it.

I think it is over for us at 8 weeks. I was also a colicky baby and my mom has told me all along that at 8 weeks it just disappeared. That seems to be the case with my sweet little boy. He went from crying/screaming throughout the day to being content and smiling all day unless he is sleepy. Then he become fussy but it's like a normal baby it will happen, just give it time.

My baby woke up after 8 months and two days of clenched fists and crying with a smile on his face. Like it shut off. He was hospitalized twice and the second time a gastroenterologist from children's hospital in Boston told me. "I could put a tube down his throat which would only cause more distress. What I think is truly happening is your son's personality shining through" he diagnosed him with severe colic and Sent us home. My son is now 14 years old, very bright and sometimes I say he was born with information. I know this will sound silly but I think that part of the screaming was because he couldn't talk.
