Has anyone tried this Graco Side Swing (called sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center)? I saw an ad for it a couple weeks ago but haven't known or heard from anyone who has used one. It seems expensive to me but maybe it works:

My son actually loves this swing now....but he hated it as a newborn, and it didn't do too much until he was about 2 months old.
It certainly isn't a miracle by any means, and it was hit or miss during his colic days. One day it worked...the next day it didn't.
Now that he is virtually colic free, I can place him in this swing, turn on the "Distant Thunderstorm", or "Whale" sounds, and within minutes he is usually fast asleep for at least a good hour if not more.
This swing is not cheap...so I caution anyone who is contemplating buying it to ask yourself if you really think you need it. Tough call, I know. But sometimes our little ones just want mom to hold them, or just want a simple, relatively cheap bouncie to calm them.
Hope this helped.

I received this swing as a gift. If I put my son in it when he is asleep he will stay there up to a hour, but if I put him in it when he is awake it is a fast track to a screaming baby. I'm really no expert but I think the reason it can be upsetting to my son when he is awake is because the seat in it is quite upright and I have noticed when he is having gas issues he would rather be stretched out than in a sitting position. May be great for a reflux baby though?! Anyway I hope he enjoys it more when he gets a little older because it has a lot of great features.
