Don't feel bad. Everyone in my town KNOWS Brooklyn....not because shes cute, and adorable...but because they know her as "the ex screamer" I used to have to pace inside the grocery store...until her screaming got to be too much, and then stand outside and wait for my husband and 4 year old to be done shopping...pacing and bouncing Brooklyn just so she wouldnt sound like i was stabbing her to death. She screamed in the car from point A to point B...until probably....a month and a half ago. We turned her carseat around, and put her in a convertible seat too. I know its a bit early, but shes a big girl. (21 lbs) We would drive thru town, and when we came to a stop sign with people at it, we'd roll up the windows, so people wouldnt call the police on me!!! We thought my 4 year old would have permanent hearing damage from sitting next to her screaming sister for so many months in the car.

hahaha!! I so relate!!! She screams as if she'd just witnessed a murder! I am afraid someone will call child services on us! When I was leaving today, she was wailing and I got such looks from the neighbor!! I blurted out "she hates her carseat!!" but I know she was thinking I had a torturing device in there!!

I always would throw the ole "shes colicky" comment out there, when people were looking at me wide eyed like i was an abusive parent or something. What'd they think i was doing??? Punching her in the head...the taking her out of her carseat for a grocery shopping trip??? Id swear, they way they looked they REALLY must have thought that!!! lol

Thanks Tamara. Yah, I guess she has more hair than she used too. Abby used to be terrible in the car too. She would scream and scream and scream. I hated taking her anywhere even if I had someone with me it was hard to go somewhere. So my solution was just to stay home. Wrong answer. I had to just get to where I went and got used to the looks, and boy did people look... but I just stared right back at them and smiled. She's better now and now that she is older she usually flirts with the guys she sees in the store. Pathetic really...

Levi would be okay in the car...IF we were going at least about 55 mph. I guess that was enough to lull him to sleep, but if we were just driving around regular streets or slow down too much, he'd just scream. Oh, and red lights were the worst!

HA! We have the same issue with red lights. We totally flip out if it turns red on us, I'll even take a longer route sometimes so I don't have to stop. Car screaming is the worst! I wish I'd had a summer time baby so I could roll the windows down so I'm not so boxed in with that screamer! She has got the most sheill scream ever, it really hurts my ears.

I had a summer baby and i didnt roll the windows down bc i was too ashamed that my baby was crying all the time... i turned up the music... im sure that wasnt the best idea for Paytons poor little ears but i could sing and cry and drive..... Daniel Powder's Bad day was one of our favs during that period

At least ya'll went in the car. I refused literally for like 3 months to go anywhere by myself. I would only go somewhere if I had another person with me to help calm her down. That was NOT good therapy by the way- becoming a hermit... not good... now I can't stand the house and it's to d**n cold to be outside! figures....
