I swore once we were over the colic I'd come back and give all you late night colic support readers some hope. I've almost posted a few times and then the fussing would start again and id feel like this was never going to end. Well - it basically has. My dd was colic all the time, from 2 weeks till 15 weeks was the worst of it. At about 11 weeks there were slight changes - in fact I'd say there was never any big change - just a lot of daily differences which eventually added up. We tried all sorts but nothing but time and better sleep ever really made a difference.
We sleep trained at about 4 months and that helped her loads. And us - we got some time to ourselves again. The biggest changes were from 5 months on. She was still quite fussy but I could handle it. At 6 months she was great, started nursery no problem. Got ill unfortunately and was terrible for a few days but then bounced back. Since sitting up she's frankly a dream. She's now 7 months and I love her to pieces. She's easy to look after really, though I think she's a lot more particular about what she does and doesn't like than other babies. I can see now it was never her stomach that was an issue but rather her personality did not suit being a baby. She's a child who loves playing and human interaction. Doesn't do well with being left alone in devices. Save yourself the money and ditch the swings!!! Saying that she now loves her jumperoo and sits in her high chair watching me do dishes for an hour which is like a miracle.
All to say - it ends. You enjoy your baby eventually. You realise what they do and don't like. And yes - in a room of other babies she's still the loudest/most opiniOnated one! But mostly with laughing and jumping about.
