I know we all have babies of different ages, but I am just curious...as some of you may remember me saying previously, Garren has to go to Physical Therapy weekly for torticollis ( a neck thing). His Therapist said he is a little behind developmentally and I am just curious as to how behind based on your babies development. I know they all do things in their own time as well, but Garren still only rolls from back to tummy...not tummy to back and is trying to sit up a little but nowhere near it. He also hates tummy time...like screams his head off if on his tummy for more than about 10 minutes. What and when did you see these things in your babies? ? Audrey

Levi can roll over both ways now. He couldn't even roll over one way until after 4 months old (he's 5 months and 1 week old now). He still gets stuck half of the time when he goes from back to tummy. He doesn't really like being on his tummy too much and he's nowhere near crawling or sitting. Also, he makes a lot of squealy noises, but no mama or dada or anything like that at all. We just bought him an excersaucer thingy (with the toys around it) and so far he's not crazy about it. He still seems a bit wobbly to be in it. It seems like he should be...sturdier by now, but I'm sure when he does start crawling I'll miss these days

Well Abby will be 8 months old tomorrow and if you had asked me when she was 5 months I would have told you she was going to be a lump of mush the rest of her life... literally. Then on Halloween she sat up on her own out of no where. All by herself. Just like that. We had bought her an exercauser before that because she always loved to sit up, hated to lay down or be on her tummy. She could only stand to be on her tummy for about 10 minutes before she would just scream!!!! Then the Monday after Thanksgiving she decided she was going to start crawling, she was 7 months old. Now that she is (almost) 8 months, she is pulling up on EVERYTHING. With Abby once she started doing things she started doing them very fast. All with in a month of each other. She says mama and dada and neni (Nanaw for the other kids) and will pick up things you wouldn't think an 8 month old could... like a broom... weird... she will crawl all over the house and play with the other kids and the dog. I think each child is different because like I said, I honestly did not think Abby would do anything before she was a year... seriously. I thought something was wrong with her. But she did and now I can't keep her still. Oh, and she went from back to tummy first and would not go from tummy to back for the longest time.

Payton, is almost 5 mos (on christmas eve) and he can roll front to back... only if im not watching him... ie. the crib makes for a night time pain, and he has rolled only once from front to back. we have sat for a very few seconds unassisted. we have two exersaucers... on of which he likes more than the other... a few laughs and lots of smiles but no words.

Garren will be 6 months old the day after Christmas and can roll either way (left or right) but only back to tummy. He will sit for a few seconds propped on his hands, like tripod sorta. He squeals alot and makes a funny noise (I call it the horse) and spits a lot but no actual words. Tonight in the tub my husband filled a small cup with water and was pouring it into the bath water and he belly laughed each time he did it. It was sooooo dang sweet. He got the biggest kick out of it. Garren also has the rainforest jumperoo, it's a jumper but also like an exersaucer with the toys around the middle. He'll sit/stand/jump in it for a little while. I can certainly tell his upper body strength is getting better. I guess all babies are different with their development and all do things when and if they want to huh? Audrey

David will be 6 months on Christmas Eve. He's been rolling from front to back since about 3.5 months, but I don't think he can roll the other way -- although he does roll from back to side. He's been scooting around his crib for a couple months, too, but he hasn't made any other steps towards crawling. He can stand for short periods of time if we help him balance, and he can sit up fairly well unassisted. Sometimes he topples over, but that's happening less often now. Today I put a boppy pillow behind him, and he sat there for 30 min or so. He loves standing in his walker, too. And no words yet, but he makes plenty of funny sounds.

Audrey, David scratches himself all the time, too. I file his nails because I'm afraid to clip them ever since I clipped the end of his finger once. It was awful. But even with filing them frequently, they still feel like little razors!

Man, Abby scratches herself all the time. Even when they are clipped she manages to somehow still do it. She always looks like she's been in a fight, with her scabbed over little nose and cheeks!! And now that we have a dog he has become super obsessed with her and licks her all the time and plays with her and so he's always knocking into her and pawing at her and I think that is how she is getting some of her scratches. But they are best buds, it's to cute!

Olivia is six months old, she can sit unassisted for about a half an hour, she scoots backwards and gets on her knees but can't go forward. She says mama and dada. She can stand with us holding her hands, and she does so big when you ask her " how big is Olivia?" She also scratchs herself all the time. She scratches me and pinches me when she gets excited.
