With my husband finally back home and on leave, we decided we'd start making Gavin nap in his crib (instead of in my arms) each day. We were not looking forward to what we expected would be a painful process.
Silly us.
Gavin couldn't care less. He went off to sleep from day 1 of our experiment in his crib, and hasn't napped anywhere else since. Little booger.
It just kills me how he has "decided," with every milestone, to suddenly do things like this. We expect to come home one afternoon and find him trimming his beard, mixing a martini, and asking us how we like our steaks. He blows our freaking minds.

Make sure he sets you up in a nice condo on a beach in Mexico then d**nit for all the pain you went through in the beginning! LOL Anyway, that's awesome. Abby usually sleeps in her crib (during the week when the girls are in school and the house is quiet) for 2 naps a day if I'm lucky. I have tried to make a point to do this with her since we came back from vacation in October. Sometimes I am better than other times, but most times she will. She actually sleeps better in her bed than she does anywhere else. P.S. how long has the hubby been home? I thought he was going to be gone through Christmas? Glad he is home though. Make up for lost time.

I got my little one in the crib for night sleeping, but haven't mastered naptime yet. How old is Gavin? Just curious to know when I can expect her to maybe sleep in her nap too.
Congratulations on finally having a bit of freedom during the day! And glad the hubby is home too.

Sounds kind of tacky, but I just had to kind of force Abby to take her naps in her crib whether she liked it or not. She's pretty used to it now and actually prefers it there over sleeping anywhere else.
