Margeaux,
Abby will do that sometimes. She isn't fully awake so I just give her the paci and pat her butt, maybe rub her back and she will go back to sleep. Lately though she has been waking up between 1:30- 2:30 a.m. and WANTING a bottle, which is rare. I usually try to ignore her and let her self soothe, but for some reason, she won't so I give her a couple oz. and she will go back to sleep and sleep until 7:30 or so. It's not like her sleep is messed up, she just is restless. I too wonder if she is dreaming and doesn't know how to deal with what she is dreaming, but you never know, so I just do what I have to do to get her to go back to sleep... and that my dear is kick my husband in the a s s and tell him to make the baby a bottle!! LOL No, I do get up most of the time. As far as the diarrhea, Abby had that a long time ago, she rarely poops at night anymore, don't know what to tell you other than keep lots of wipes on hand. LOL

Ever since we came up north to visit my parents (last week), David has been doing that. He randomly cries at night and sounds like he just can't get comfortable. (We've been in the same room as him, so maybe I just hear it more?) Plus, he's been teething, so sometimes he will wake up and start wailing and we have to give orajel and motrin and the works.
Well gee, he is doing that right now. What timing.

omg, for a few weeks there....when they switched Brooklyn's formula, because they thought her tummy was "matured" enough to take reg. formula. (YAH RIGHT!!!) She was pooping like 7-8 times a day. Full....up her back pooping, diarrhea. I was getting up in the middle of the night to her screaming, because she had a diaper full of poop, sometimes it had gotten into her crib. I finally called the dr. and told them they were all morons and i needed my baby back on the similac sensitive (lactose free) She has the same problem as Mya. Mya couldnt eat milk products till she was about a year, when she outgrew it. Its really common for a lot of kids....she'll get really bad rash all over her face, and body when she eats milk stuff....and have horrible diarrhea. Do you know what I've found thats great? I give her soy yogurt. Its got the Acidophilus...and is cheaper then buying the probiotics...and it tastes yummy. Its really helped her when she was on antibiotics and stuff to calm her tummy a bit....

Garren does this a lot! I go up to his room at least one to two times per night....usually more. But, like you said, Garren isn't fully awake, his eyes are closed but he's crying so I just replace his paci and stand by his crib for a few minutes to make sure he's gonna calm down then I go back to bed. He slept in our room in a bassinet for the longest time...well until about a week or so ago. I finally decided it was time to move him to his room I just HATE climbing the steps when I'm half a sleep. Anyway, he's done fairly well but I am so ready for him to sleep THROUGH the night without the waking and needing the paci! Hopefully that will come sooner than later! Audrey

Tamara, what kind of yogurt is that? I know you said it is soy, but is it a specific brand? I think that would be good for Abby. I don't think she is ready for milk products by any means, but I think the yogurt would be good for her tummy. Last night was the first night in about a week that she hasn't woke up in the middle of the night for a bottle, she woke up at 6:15. So I still only got 6 hours of sleep!

I'll have to look...there are TONS of different brands. I'm fairly lucky as I live in a sort of "hippy" alternative lifestyle...herbal, organic eating, holistic approach...sorta town So there are like....3 co-ops...and a bunch of natural food stores. I dont know what you have around your area....Do you have a Trader Joes, or something like that? Any of those kind of places will carry it. Any grocery store that carries soy yogurt...obviously they all have Acidophilus added to them. Every brand I've seen does. You can't even taste the difference between that and reg. yogurt. Although Abby sounds like Brookie...as long as its food, she probably doesnt care

My daughter did that one night last week and it turns out that she did come down with a cold. Maybe he isn't feeling well, especially with the diarrhea.

Mallory has been crying in her sleep alot since shes been sick, it really freaked me out the first time she did it. I hope she stops once she feels better, she sounds so pitiful.
