My husband and I were just talking the other night, about how Brooklyn has FINALLY found her place in the family. The first 4-5 months of her life she kind of felt like a stranger in our house. She didnt know us, we didnt know her. It was a shock to EVERYONE's system. Mya has gone thru stages adjusting to having a new baby sister. As if it wasn't hard enough having a new baby sister, having a new COLICKY baby sister was ROUGH. Brooklyn didnt really fit into the picture. It had always been My husband, myself and Mya. The three amigos It has taken her almost 8 months...for me to finally be able to say, that she has found her place in our family. We have FULLY adjusted to her, and her us. We had our routine going for so many years, then Brooklyn kinda scrambled that all up. She had her own routine, and wasn't willing to mesh with ours Or she was unable to at the point she was at. Now, we've created a new family routine and things are good. I read somewhere that it can take a sibling all the way up to a YEAR to fully adjust to a new baby. Well, atleast we beat it by a few months!! lol I'm just glad things are flowing again.....And we're all flowing down the same river!!!

You know, Steven and I were talking about that the other night too. Mostly along the same lines, mainly about how his mother needs to move out so Abby can get out of our room and we can move the other girls around and we can have some privacy again... but also how we couldn't imagine our family without her. She was such an "invasion" of everything we knew and turned our lives upside down, threw it into disarray, but now that she has gotten older and over the colic, she has become her own little person and meshes with us really well. She laughs and smiles and can melt your heart with a smile. The other girls, even though they are older, they really do love her. Masie, she's never had a baby sister so to her, having Abby is a dream come true- even though she wanted a boy! She can't wait until Abby "moves into her room and gets to sleep with her" and can play with her "in there". She's to funny with that. She just loves Abby so much but annoys the crap out of her! And yeah, Abby has found her place too, RIGHT UNDERNEATH OUR FEET TO TRIP US!!! kidding, LOL Now if I can just get the kid to be self sufficient- you know, feed herself, bathe herself, potty train herself, all the good stuff... that would be great...
