Oh, I am SO happy for you! Today we are going to start sleep training here too, because I can't take it anymore. It's either sleep training or me driving as fast as I can into a tree. I'm not even joking, I need sleep b/c I'm going insane. Can you tell me a little bit more on how you did the bed time routine etc?

Oh I totally get what your saying!!!!! Nolan just started sleeping through the night hes 7 months now! for 7 months almost, I was awoken by him 3 times a night and he would not go back to sleep so I was going on over half a yr of really really broken bits of sleep! I too felt like going into a tree or something lol. We just started sleep training him too, and thank the lord hes sleeping 6pm-6am every night and now taking 2 two hour naps during the day...im REALLY regaining my sanity levels now!!!!!! alexmom, how much sleep are you getting at night with ur little one and how old is ur little one again? I forget theres so many of you moms on here lol. Heres a few tips that we started doing...
1. Made sure we wrapped him in a sleep sack...we purchased on amazon. We put a warm onesie on him and the sleep sack to keep him warm to he wouldn't wake up cold. 2. Spaced out his last night feeding so it was 4 hours of him not eating, then we fed him RIGHT before we put him to bed (approx. 6-630pm) 3. We introduced a lovey stuffed animal to him, that is soft, small and not a choking hazard, now he cuddles up to it and feels secure 4. We had to resort to the Cry it out method...every time he woke up at night, id walk in his room, pat him on the back and say "mamas here its okay hunny go back to sleep love you" and he'd calm right down 5. If he didn't calm right down from the Cry it out method, and if he would wake up hungry, I would slowly wean his ounces I fed him at night...for example. Night 1- 8 ounce bottle 3am...Night 2- 7 ounces bottle at 3am...Night 3- 6 ounces...etc etc. until he would only get 2 ounces at night and eventually he wouldn't even wake up wanting more, bc he knew he wouldn't get that much...plus hes 7 months old now, he is a big boy and eats enough during the day he doesn't need a night feeding now. Hope this helps!
