Okay, so I have been kind of bragging on here about how things have been so much better. Well, the past 2 days have been hell, not only at night but the days as well. He has been so good for me during the day for the past week or so! And the nights haven't even been that bad. What happened? His screaming yesterday around noon was so bad, I started crying with him and was ready to call 911. It sounded like he was in so much pain it was horrible! Today he did the same thing. I noticed he has been farting a lot the past few days. Is it painful gas? Husband's mom said he could possibly be starting to teethe? At almost 12 weeks? Is this possible? Is it still just the d a m n colic? Frustrated. Things were looking up

I am so sorry about your sweet little one! As NOT an expert, I know that cutting out dairy helped our little one stop the "I am in pain" screaming. She is still fussy (well, the colic kind of fussy. Not the cute kind lol) but it isnt nearly as ear piercing.

Amberlynn, how are things going? Any improvement? 12 weeks was when my baby girl started to get REALLY challenging with sleep (as if she hadn't been before;-). At about 16 weeks because of that, we decided to sleep train. After sleep training I realized that sleep was the culprit. She wasn't getting the rest she needed and we had to do something about it. Now she is better again!

Hey lizzi.
My son will be exactly 3 months this Wednesday. Things are looking up for us! He has improved so much, it is unreal. Other things are starting to be a challenge though. It doesn't sound like we have as much trouble as you did with sleeping, but now that he doesn't cry himself into exhaustion for hours every night, it is a little harder to put him down. He fights going to sleep sometimes. But I will take this over the non-stop crying any day.
A few nights ago, we tried taking me out to a high-school football game. Didn't go so well. Within a half hour, he was screaming bloody murder. I think it was a shock to him. All the noise, bright lights, people... Stinks because there were a lot of other babies there around his age that just sat there and were so content.
We still have some work to do, but it seems as though things are much better. I just hope we don't relapse again. Hope the sleep training is going well for you.

I'm glad things are better for you, amberlynn...just keep trudging through. I just posted that we are definitely going through the 4 month sleep regression at this point. Tonight has been horrible so far. Just screaming going down and then awake 45 minutes later and screaming again! When in the world will things get easier CONSISTENTLY?! I just feel like whenever I start to breathe a sigh of relief, something else throws her (and us) off!

I don't know when things get better. I have a 7 month old now and he STILL wakes twice a night every single night. I am exhausted. He screams at the top of his lungs at night and I go into his room, he doesn't usually want a bottle, but now hes crawling and hitting himself into the side of the crib waking himself and us up! I don't think it ever gets easier, you just learn how to cope bc u get used to being utterly exhausted as a mom.
