I noticed a few new people started posting, so I thought I would share that fingers crossed, I am almost positive we are through with colic. My son will be 14 weeks this Tuesday and has not had a colic episode in about 2 weeks.
Now when he cries, I can figure out what is wrong and soothe him just about 100% of the time!!
I never thought I would be here, since the first 3 months of his life were a living hell for me. Ours ended like the text books say it would....right around 3 months. For us, it was just before.
If anyone has any questions who are newly going through this, please message me. Trust me, my son used to cry all day, every day inconsolably. I know what you are going through.
I used to HATE hearing this, but it is true...It will most definitely end.

amber, was he crying in the day too? At night we can get him to sleep, its just that he cries over almost everything unless held. He only lasts in any device about 15-25 minutes.

Raylene,
In months one and two, He cried pretty much all day and night. Whenever he was awake and not eating, He was crying. The third month, as he started to be able to do more and notice his surroundings more, the crying became less during the day but was still bad for a few hours at night.
Honestly only lasting a short time in a device still sounds normal to me. My son still has a short attention span and will only last about the same amount of time doing one thing. I will have him on his gym for 10 minutes before he starts getting antsy, then I will put him in his bouncer for maybe 15-20, then I will have to hold him. Having a baby is exhausting and barely leaves any time for yourself.
How old is your baby now?

He is 10 weeks, but I do agree with you. I just feel like he wants to do more then he can do. He tries to move his head and climb up us and seems annoyed that he cant do anything, he makes little noises like hes trying. I feel like once he can, the day cries may get better. hes happy when hes on us or on a stroller ride. I have a feeling that he too may never just like devices for too long. Yes having a baby is exhasuting, I just have to surrender and know for the next I dunno year, its pretty much all about the baby.
