Firstly hello, this is my first thread! And hallelujah has it been a God send to find a forum like this. Apologies if there is already a thread like this.
My daughter is 6 weeks on Friday and is extremely colicky. I can't remember the last time I slept and it really is putting a strain on me and my husband. All I've been told is that it WILL pass and that I just have to ride on through it. However, is there anything any of you have done to calm baby/cope yourself that I may not have tried? I'm going to follow a strict daily routine, more so to help myself pass the days (it sounds terrible I know!) than her. So far tummy massaging, constant walking around the house and baths have helped a little bit.

I know how tough it is and I personally hate hearing it will pass. My daughter is a little over 3 months and things are starting to get better. Some things that worked for us: 1. Probiotics - we use the gerber colic soothe. Some people complain that it is expensive ($30) but I would pay $100 if it helped! 2. Chiropractor - I can't even tell you how much this has helped. On top if colic she has acid reflux and a chronic stuffy nose. Zantac did not work for her and put of desperation I went to see the chiro. It helps!! We go for times a week. Over Christmas the office was closed for a week and I could totally tell the difference. 3. Baths 4. The superman hold - lay the baby belly down on your forearm. I hope some of these things help!!

It will pass! I noticed a turn around at 10 weeks, right before returning to work. My godsend has been the exercise ball!! I bounce her to sleep with it to this day!! She to this day at 5 months has to be in constant motion and held!! Helps burn calories lol!!

My daughter is 4 months old we have been dealing with extreme colic for months I wake up every day praying it will end! It's horrible. Yes she is healthy but the colic is so taxing on me and my husband! She would cry 3-6 hours straight ! The only thing that helped was distracting her from the pain like loud humming patting rocking and she's been sleeping on my chest because when I put her down after she falls asleep the crying starts again. My husband helps and we take turns at nights but sometimes the screaming is just unbearable. She is our first child & we have not enjoyed parenthood at all. We don't go out because I'm too stressed that she will scream the house down!!! I I'm tired & can't wait for the screaming to end!
