Hi all, It's Anne here - 37 year old mom of 6 year old daughter Sarah, almost 3 year old son Gavin and 5 month old son Ryan. We live in New Jersey just over the bridge from Philadelphia. I would describe Ryan as climbing out of colic since 4 months. He's had some relapse days, but overall and knock on wood - he's doing well. The hardest part of my day is in between 5 and 6 when I'm trying to think about getting dinner on the table - Ryan likes to have all kinds of my undivided attention. Forget about the fact that my two other kids seem hell bent on wrecking the house I've picked up all day long. His smiles are so amazing - make me smile on the inside if you know what I mean. I feel as though I've heard so much noise over the last five months that I just don't want to hear it anymore - like - I've made it through colic now everyone shut the _ up! Give me some peace and calm like I deserve.... Maybe I should stop daydreaming! LOL! Take care all. ~Anne~

I know what you mean about having the kids wreck the house. I pick it up only to have them come home from school to have it torn up in 2.2 seconds. It's like a tornado went through my house everyday!! Why bother...

Hello. My name is Alissa and I am 36. I have one daughter Jade who is 3 months and still has colic spells from 6-11 nightly. I will not be one of the lucky ones where colic ends early. I am currently finishing grad school and work full time as an in-home counselor for disturbed children. What scares me is that many of the children I work with were colicky babies. Please let there not be a correlation. This site has been so helpful. I currently reside in Va but am a NY native i am typing one handed even at this hour ha. she is asleep though

Hi Alissa, I hear you on the 1-handed typing! I've gotten very good at it....For those who don't know, it's possible to nurse and type with 1 hand at the same time. :-D It takes a little longer, but it's how I do most of my e-mailing and posting these days! What degree are you getting? counseling? That is what I did -- finished my master's in counseling a year ago and am working PRN right now in a psych hospital. There's another lady on here (haven't seen her since the boards changed) who is a psychologist.

Yah...i've mastered the one handed typing as well.... On top of it, i have to block Brookie...because she tries to bang the keyboard and grab it and tries to throw it off the computer desk. She gets excited and wants to type. She already reset our monitor...and made the color look all retarded. Shes reset so many things by hitting the WRONG keys, far too many times I know i've said it before Alissa...but i love the name Jade. Myas little friend is named Jade....she loved her so much, for x-mas last year we got her a Cabbage Patch doll that happened to be named Jade

Hey guys, since there have been lots more ladies join, do you think it would be a good idea for those that haven't gotten to "play the name game" yet, speak up? I know there are some on here that we don't "officially" know yet and I think it would be nice to finally do that. I know most everyone else has already done this one, so the ones that haven't would be good.

I know of QUITE a few rotten ones.... You sound like you'll be the cool one that all the little kids want to get My sister in law just finished her schooling....LONNNGG process. It seemed like she was in school forever, but now shes teaching 1st grade. Coolest girl ever. I would *so* want her for my teacher, if *I* was a little kid! Better than those crotchety old grey haired teachers
