Walmart was our favorite place to scream. Somehow, for some reason, they just expect babies to cry there...

The worst part was waiting for the "shuttle" buses that take you from the parks to your hotel. One comes every 15 mins. Well, thats what it was SUPPOSED to do anyways. It didnt happen that way! We took Mya to dinner with the Princesses....which is a nice, sit down, DINNER with all of the Disney Princesses, in a nice restaurant... She started screaming bloody murder, as I was trying to get Mya (who had gotten a brand new Belle dress, tiara, shoes, everything...to meet with all the princesses. Thats like...the highlight of her LIFE) rushed around to all the Princesses to take pictures, while Brooklyn is screaming SO loud, people were staring and whispering, and pointing at us. I am a naturally shy person, so it was KILLING me. I ended up not getting a chance to eat at all, Mya got all her pics taken by my inlaws for us..and I sat the remainder of the dinner in the bathroom trying to shhhhh her, with no luck. The dinner was over, the fireworks started...and everyone was heading for the exit of the park. HUNDREDS of people. We were running with a screaming baby and a whining 3 year old....to catch these darn buses so we didnt have to sit there with Brooklyn screaming for a whole 30 mins more!! People in line were staring, giving us dirty looks and I finally just LOST it and started screaming at his particularly annoying lady that had been staring. I finally screamed "WHAT?!?! HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN A CRYING BABY BEFORE??? JESUS" The guy in line behind me made me feel so much better. I was in tears....bouncing a screaming Brooklyn..and he said "We've all been there, we've all had kids screaming out in public, if we can help let us know. Don't worry about what other people say, if they dont like screaming kids they shouldnt have come to Disneyworld" Mya still sat whining about "her dress being itchy" and "I'm hooootttttt" and Brooklyn kept screaming (yes we missed the bus...it was full ) until the next bus arrived...and all the way back to the hotel. That was a REALLY stressful day...and we were there for like 8 days! lol But that was one of the worst ones!!!!

OH MY!! That is a crazy story!! I am so impressed that you were able to do it!! I love that you went off on that awful lady...The kind of crying my baby does, is just not like normal crying..she screams as if someone has just cut off her foot! I am sure we would get the dirtiest looks!!

Oh Lord, we got some looks too. There were times when I actually said to people... oh wait, one time in the post office when I went to get my pass port, she was having a particularly bad day and I was in line swinging her like she was in a roller coaster in her car seat trying to keep her from crying... wasn't happening... and she was steadily getting more and more pissed. Well, she just started wailing and everyone just looked at me like I did something to her. I couldn't stand it anymore and I just said REALLY loud, "Yes, she has colic and unless you want to continue to hear her scream and get louder, I suggest you get me next in line and get this nuts over with." I was the very next in line. The poor lady that took care of me had this frightened look her face like oh, nuts, I got her... but she did really well and got me done very quickly. Poor lady...

This was taken RIGHT before we went in to eat....(We always said she had that look like "she was about to explode"....You knew it was only a matter of time before she LOST it. Thats my hubby with his 3 girls. (The oldest lives on the east coast) Gosh darnit..i was determined to take pics and be like normal tourists (even if my baby was screaming bloody murder) The one of her with sleeping beauty was DURING dinner (I wasn't there....they told me they could hear her screaming all the way down the hall and outside...where the bathroom was, to where they were, inside eating)

I hear you on the crying. The ped told me Brooklyn had the loudest cry he's heard. She literally does like...window shattering...growling/screeching....make your ears bleed kind of screaming. I've not heard anything like it. The worst part is i had TONS of moms coming up to me giving me dirty looks saying "dont you see your baby is crying because shes HOT" they thought she was screaming because i was neglecting her and she was hot. ARGHHHHHH. I hate stupid people

HAHA! I am laughing!! You guys are so BRAVE!!! I love that you even went to the post office and actually tried to get your errands done!! I will think of you whenever I attempt to get out with her again! And Tamara, I hear you with the scream/cry...my mom couldn't even believe that she could make the sound she was making...I am sure the neighbors will be calling child services any day now. I can't believe that woman said your baby was crying because she was hot...duh, don't you love the stupid things people say about the crying??? I swear the only advice I would ever pay attention to is from someone who has actually had a colicky baby..and I am not talking about people who THINK they have had a colicky baby, just because it cried a little in the evening!
