I find that were at the dr's every week, last week we had a test at the hospital, and then our 4 mos check up and then a meeting with the head of Peds at the hospital. This week we have a test at the hospital, and I have to make an appointment to see the dr again to make sure our ear infection is gone, and to talk about formula changes again, as we had a throw back to our bad colic days yesterday and I think that its due to the introduction of the gentlease. Funny that he can eat oatmeal and it doesnt bother him but man give that kid milk protiens and the screaming begins.. looks like we will be nutramigen patrons for the rest of our formula days

we tried apparently it didnt work, but the screaming could be due to the ear infection or the teeth that just wont come through

We were going to the dr almost every week for awhile there. Its died down...since we figured out a great deal of it was the teething....and then the teething led to a double ear infection...since she was teething while she had a cold. We go in for her 6 month appt. (a month late!!!!!!! stupid people got me in late the first time because they were triple booked for weeks, and i have to have her seen EXACTLY 2 months from that date or insurance wont pay for it) on the 13th. Between Mya and her we were literally at the dr ALL the time. Its a running joke with the receptionist. Whenever she sees us she says "so who are we seeing today?? Brooklyn Mya or Mom??"

I'm VERY thankful we have insurance, but unfortunatley our insurance doesnt pay for a whole lot. They have specific rules.... Diff. co-pays for certain things....A LOT of prescriptions arent covered....insurance just sucks.

Ive heard good stuff and bad stuff. My friends baby was born with SERIOUS problems..and still has serious problems, and theyve had issues with military paying for all of it... On the same note though, i have lots of other military wife friends that say the insurance is great. I have one friend in Germany, and she said the care is AWESOME.

Yeah, if we'd had to pay for Gavin's prematurity care, we'd be financially ruined. There's absolutely no way we could have done it as civilians. Thank god for TriCare. The military is even paying for two mornings a week of daycare, through their Early Intervention system, so that Gavin can be "adequately socialized," as a preemie.
